Online webinar
Audio description available
Victorians take over 16 million trips every day. They might be driving, catching buses and trains or cycling.
In this webinar, we explore public transport and cycling recommendations in Victoria's 30-year infrastructure strategy. Victorians told us they want transport infrastructure that gives them more opportunities. They want better connections and more public transport, cycling lanes and walking paths.
But in some parts of Victoria people have few alternatives to driving. Our recommendations to the Victorian Government can help connect more Victorians to jobs, services and opportunities by:
- running buses more often in our major cities and across regional Victoria
- extending trams in Melbourne’s established suburbs
- extending metropolitan trains to growth areas
- building safe cycling networks in Melbourne and regional cities.
Join our panel as they discuss Victoria's public and active transport future.
The panel
- Dr Jonathan Spear, CEO, Infrastructure Victoria
- Matthew Raisbeck, Principal Transport Planner, Infrastructure Victoria
- Alison McCormack, CEO, Bicycle Network
- Anthony Morton, President, Public Transport Users Association
