Our Regional Infrastructure Needs research explores the economic, social and environmental strengths and challenges of regional Victoria. We have released profiles on each of Victoria’s nine regions which outline the unique strengths and challenges in different parts of Victoria. The profiles are the result of a year-long process of gathering data and working with stakeholders right across the state to ensure we had local insights to help us better understand the data.

We will use the profiles to strengthen our evidence base as we update the 30-year infrastructure strategy. We are continuing our research through the Infrastructure Priorities for the Regions program which will identify infrastructure responses for each region to build on economic strengths and reduce disadvantage.

The regional profiles are available in the resources library below.
