Governments can only build so much infrastructure. And they can’t do everything, everywhere, all at once. This strategy is a practical roadmap to help government focus its priorities and deliver the infrastructure Victorians need most.

We’ve been more specific in many of our recommendations – identifying suburbs, cities or towns where government should prioritise investment.

Victoria’s new suburbs are young, diverse and fast-growing. They need infrastructure so that its communities have equal access to facilities, services and opportunities.

Regional Victorians have less access to infrastructure, jobs and public transport near their homes. There is often no choice but to drive a car, but more car use can put households who have no other transport options in financial stress.

Join us for this webinar to unpack the infrastructure strategy in a local government context. We’ll focus on the most relevant recommendations related to local planning, community infrastructure, housing, transport, climate change and open space.

Panellists

  • Dr Jonathan Spear, Chief Executive, Infrastructure Victoria
  • Jill Riseley, Deputy Chief Executive, Infreastructure Victoria
  • Eloise Modun, Director Research and Policy, Infastructure Victoria
