Our Regional and Metropolitan Infrastructure Needs research, seeks to build our understanding of the economic, social and environmental needs of Victoria’s regions to inform the update of the 30-year infrastructure strategy.
We have released profiles on each of Victoria’s regions – metropolitan and regional – which outline the unique strengths and challenges in different parts of Victoria. The profiles are the result of a year-long process of gathering data and working with stakeholders right across the state to ensure we had local insights to help us better understand the data.
We will use the profiles to strengthen our evidence base as we update the 30-year infrastructure strategy. For regional Victoria, we are continuing our research through the Infrastructure Priorities for the Regions program which will identify infrastructure responses for each region to build on economic strengths and reduce disadvantage.
The regional and metropolitan profiles are available in the resources library below.
