Webinar: Reducing emissions and adapting infrastructure for Victoria’s changing climate

Our changing climate impacts the lives of all Victorians. The increasing frequency of bushfires, flooding and other extreme weather events require us to think differently about adapting our infrastructure.

Recent events, like large grass fires and flooding across northern Victoria, demonstrate the need for proactive adaptation of infrastructure to prevent injuries, loss of life, and significant disruption to communities. It is also critical we reduce emissions across all sectors over the coming years as we transition to a low carbon economy

Watch a panel of experts as they discuss the planning and investment required to reduce emissions and adapt infrastructure for Victoria’s changing climate.

Facilitated by Infrastructure Victoria CEO Jonathan Spear, the panel includes Lauren Rickards, Professor at Latrobe University and a lead author on the Australasia chapter of last year’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report; Dr Scott Rawlings, Director, Science and Reporting at Commissioner for Environmental Sustainability Victoria and Duncan Paterson, Director of Investor Practice at the Investor Group on Climate Change.
