Our work on scenarios and modelling aims to develop and test alternative land use and transport scenarios for Melbourne and regional Victoria to support a discussion about how the state’s population growth could be accommodated over the next 30 years, test the effectiveness of planning and land use levers to affect change and demonstrate the benefits of integrated land use and infrastructure planning.

The project aims to demonstrate how government can make the best use of the infrastructure we currently have and ensure future infrastructure investment decisions are made alongside decisions about where people live and work.
